I would like to thank my classmates from EDUC 6160 for your support of my blog and being able to support yours as well! I wish you all the best in your future endeavors!
Christina, I have to say that out of everyone in our group, I definitely had the most in common with you and your post. I wanted to thank you for always taking the time to give me great feedback! It was a pleasure and I hope to have you again in one of the following courses!
Christina, I think the quote you chose captures the essence of childhood! Wouldn’t it be wonderful if everyone realized the valuable role play has in a child’s development?
I truly enjoyed reading all your posts throughout this course. They were always very thoughtful and informative and I appreciate you sharing your own personal experiences. I was able to relate to your thoughts on many topics as an educator as well as a mother. Thank you for always taking the time to offer me thoughtful and constructive feedback. I wish you the best of luck as you continue your journey as an early childhood educator as well as a mother!
Hi Christina, Your quote is simple, direct and right on target. In every small action or interaction that takes place in childhood, there is such a great amount of learning, development and imagination taking place. There is nothing "simple" about any of it, so much is going on inside a child's mind and body. Play is a very important part of childhood and adulthood. The body needs time to relax and rejuvenate and we need to remember that when life seems to be overwhelming or just going too fast. I have enjoyed reading your thoughts and comments in your posts during the past eight weeks and look forward to any classes we have together in the future months. Cindy Ferguson
I would like to thank you for sharing your thoughts and your family. Getting to know a little about your mother and family really helped and made it easy to respond to your blogs. Hope to see you at graduation.(L.O.L)
Thank you for your thoughtful post. I truly enjoyed your comments. I like your quote. As early childhood educator, we can often lose sight of the child. We are so busy trying to fulfill politics such as test scores and administering creative curriculums, we forget these children are 3-5 years old and its ok for them to play. We have to find a balance between educating and allowing children to be just that, children. Take care!!
